In 2025 the Theatertreffen is inviting artists worldwide for the International Forum – a 17-day scholarship programme.
The Open Call for the International Forum is open to approximately 35 artists, encompassing all realms of the Performing Arts. This includes directing, acting, set and costume design, dramaturgy, text production, music, video, performance, media, choreography, production management, and theatre education.
Artists from every corner of the globe are encouraged to apply, offering them the chance to attend all Theatertreffen performances, as well as participate in exclusive artist talks, discussions with the festival director, and members of the Theatertreffen jury. The program includes intensive workshops led by artists on performing arts practice, excursions, and additional opportunities to see performances across Berlin. In collaboration with the Goethe-Institut and Theatertreffen's programs for emerging artists, participants will engage in networking and exchange opportunities with international theatre directors and curators.
The deadline for the 2025 International Forum is 5 December 2024. Theatertreffen will be held in in Berlin from 2 to 18 May 2025
