This year, one of the focus themes of the Gothenburg Book Fair is Drama. It will highlight the place of drama and theatre in society, both globally and locally. The book fair will feature play readings and discussions on current European and world drama, as well as discussions on various professional aspects of the work of playwrights.
Latvia will be represented at the book fair by playwrights Rasa Bugavičute-Pēce, Artūrs Dīcis, Matīss Gricmanis, Kārlis Krūmiņš, and Ance Muižniece, as well as Latvian Theatre Union international relations coordinator Maija Pavlova, who will participate in seminars, presentations, and play readings.
Teatr Polski in Bydgoszcz is opening the call for texts to the international award for playwrights. AURORA. The Drama Award of the City of Bydgoszcz is organized for the fourth time as a part of the Prapremiery Festival. Texts for the competition can be submitted until 15th of April. In the first stage of the competition the Jury will select five final texts, which will be presented as stage sketches during the Prapremiery Festival between November 17 and 23.
