An event where playwrights from the Baltic countries will present brand-new, yet-to-be-staged plays and ideas for future productions. The authors will share works that reflect on our times, emotions, relationships, and issues that are relevant to contemporary society.
Although the Baltic countries share a seemingly similar historical and social context, each has its own distinct experiences and perspectives on reality. How are these differences reflected in the playwrights’ ideas, stories, and artistic explorations?
The readings will offer not only an opportunity to discover new dramatic works, but also a space for dialogue and exchange. Audience members will be encouraged to actively participate, ask the authors questions, explore their ideas in greater depth, and share suggestions on why, where, and how these works could be further developed and brought to the stage.
